A fan of the Hapoel Ashkelon soccer team was arrested Wednesday night on suspicion of threatening a member of the Ashkelon City Council who holds the sports portfolio a number of times.
It is believed the background to the threats was the dismissal of Hapoel's chairman. Under interrogation, the suspect linked himself to the suspicions and he was released under restrictive conditions, including distancing from football fields for 30 days.
