Minister of Communications Ayoub Kara has reinforced Border Guards at the Tapuach Junction of HIghway 60, north of Jerusalem who shot and killed a terrorist who came to carry out an attack on Saturday. Speaking to the police during a Sunday tour of Samaria, Minister Kara said "In the Middle East there is no place for the weak." Taking from Jewish sources, the Druze retired major said, "If one arises to kill you, get up early to kill him." Noting the nature of terrorism, he said, "Laws are needed which are suite [to dealing with] the radicalization in the Middle East."

Addressing the soldier who eliminated the terrorist, Kara said, "Don't give it too much thought. The terrorist's place is in the grave." Sending a message to the soldier who was wounded in the attempted attack and is still hospitalized at Beilinson Hospital, he said, "I am happy that the terrorist's mother is crying and not G-d forbid that someone should cry in Israel." He concluded his remarks to the security personnel by saying, "I really appreciate what you did. Do not pay attention to background noise."
