A court has extended the detention of the 50-year-old man from Netanya who was arrested on suspicion of injuring and killing an 87-year-old resident of the city on Saturday on the Coastal Highway (Route 2) next to the city.
The suspect fled the scene of the accident and said in his interrogation that "he drove on the highway, felt a slight collision and did not understand what he had hit."
