The Netanya Rabbinical court published an authoritative and detailed ruling regarding conversion of American citizens.
The rabbinical court had rejected a request by the woman to affirm her Jewishness, since the court which performed the conversion of her mother is not recognized by the Israeli Chief Rabbinate. The woman appealed to the Supreme Rabbinical court claiming that the court which converted her parents was orthodox and therefore her conversion is valid.
After an exhaustive investigation, the court revealed that the parents believe that Jesus is the messiah and that they as converts to Judaism continue in his path. The investigation also revealed that the rabbi who performed the conversion had served for many years in a Reform temple.
The court therefore upheld the lower court's decision and rejected the conversion.
