A mother of 4 died at the Shaarei Tzedek hospital in Jerusalem on Shabbat, six days after she gave birth to her fourth child according to a Yediot Aharonot report.

The woman, who was in her 30s, gave birth to a son at the hospital at the beginning of the week. The birth proceeded normally and mother and son were released to their home.

On Friday night, six days after the birth, the woman complained of violent stomach pains and was taken by MDA ambulance from her home in the Bucharian quarter of Jerusalem to Shaarei Tzedek hospital.

After a few hours she was sent for a urine test but collapsed on the way. The medical team tried to perform resuscitation but in the end she was declared dead.

The hospital transferred the findings to the Health Ministry. The woman is assumed to have died from an ambiotic fluid embolism.
