Police spokeswoman Merav Lapidot referred Sunday morning to the arrest Saturday night of Eldad Yaniv and Meni Naftali, the ringleaders behind the demonstrations outside the house of Attorney-General Avichai Mandelblit. The two were arrested on their way to demonstrate, despite the court revoking the right to demonstrate at the site.
"The demonstrations have gone out of all proportion. It is paradoxical to demonstrate in support of the law while at the same time you yourself are violating the law," said the spokeswoman to Army Radio. She added that the two were transferred for interrogation and arrested after they refused to sign their release conditions.
