Israeli ambassador to Moscow Gary Koren was summoned to a clarifying discussion in the Russian foreign ministry after Poland decided not to allow Russia to participate in a joint Israeli-Polish project to build a museum and memorial site for the victims of the Sobibor death camp.
A spokesman for the embassy told Russian news agency Tass that "the Israeli foreign ministry supports the participation of Russia in the international governing council for restoration of the museum at the Sobibor death camp."
