For the second straight day, employees have barricaded themselves inside the Haifa Chemicals plant near Dimona and blocked access to the facility in protest of management's decision to close the factory along with the one in Haifa.
The closure of the ammonia tank in Haifa out of environmental concerns has led to a lack of work at the southern facility. Workers there are asking Environmental Protection Minister Ze'ev Elkin to intervene.
