Opposition leader Yitzhak Herzog participated in a hearing at the special committee for the Nationality Law Wednesday. Herzog said that "you are igniting a fire which will engulf the country, why wasn't a clause of total equality of rights included in the law? This is a classic example of fascist ideology."
"The state of Israel is the nation state of the Jewish people and this is understood and clear since there is a Jewish majority and Arab minority and there is no need to redefine ourselves again and again. The right has a serious lack of confidence," added Herzog.
