The Knesset Ethics Committee has reprimanded Member of Knesset Ahmad Tibi for showing his opposition to the "Muazzin Bill" by tearing up a copy of the measure.
The bill tries to limit the use of amplification outside mosques to daylight hours in response to complaints of noise pollution from excess volume.
