MK Rahel Azaria (Kulanu) approved in the Knesset reforms committee for second and third readings the amendment to the planning and construction law which will allow the splitting of houses for purposes of rental or for the usage of relatives.
The law requires local authorities to approve the addition of a housing unit in an existing house as long as the house is above 120 meters and the unit is at least 45 meters in size.
