The Supreme Court has unanimously rejected a petition by Munib Rabia' Al-Masri for an investigation of wounds suffered when he took part in a 2011 march from Lebanon to the border fence with Israel and the violent riots that took place near the fence.
Justice Uri Shoham, who wrote the ruling, rejected Al-Masri and his grandfather's claim that the shooting by Israeli troops was carried out against Israeli and international law. Judge Shoham also rejected the argument that the rules of engagement under which IDF soldiers operated were illegal.
