Regional Development Minister Tzachi Hanegbi told Israeli public radio on Tuesday that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu "did not know anything about the submarine affair - he is as straight as a ruler."
The case involves alleged improprieties in Israel's purchase of submarines from a German company represented by a Netanyahu attorney. The attorney was recently released from detention during police questionning and allowed to leave the country.
