Interior Minister Aryeh Deri made a condolence visit to the homes of the two policemen murdered in Friday's attack at Temple Mount, Hurfeish resident Kamil Shnaan and Hail Setawi of the village of Maghar.
Deri met with former Knesset member Shachiv Shnaan, the father of Kamil Shnaan, and told him that "your son is a hero who protected Jerusalem and the state. He gave his life to save others. In such a holy place to murder - one cannot fathom. "
Deri added that he had asked the heads of the Arab local authorities to condemn the attack on Friday but only the Nazareth mayor had responded and others had not condemned. He said that "this is serious because I work a lot in the Arab sector and they receive large budgets from the Interior Ministry and its a shame they did not condemn this evil attack."
