The Ministerial Legislative Committee passed the bill proposed by MKs Shuli Mualem, Zehava Galon, and Aliza Lavie to curb prostitution by making it a criminal offence for consumers.
The bill will await the government bill being prepared by the Justice Ministry. The government bill will place fines and will include prevention techniques, assistance, and welfare for former prostitutes.
