The director of supplies and manufacture in the Defense Ministry will purchase 1.5 billion NIS defense systems from the Israel Military Industries in order to protect the Israeli oil rigs.
The purchases will be completed by 2017 and will include a large range of weapons systems, electronic warfare systems and other control systems which will be manufactured by 2019 when the first oil rigs reach Israel.
