Chief of Staff Gadi Eizenkot referred in a Knesset committee meeting to the death of First Lieutenant David Goloventzis, the IDF officer killed by a stray bullet during an exercise near Hevron.
"The incident in Hevron was unnecessary," said Eizenkot, "we lost a soldier without him facing the enemy."
