Chairman Yitzhak Herzog is battling six challengers in the first round of Labor party elections on Tuesday.
The electronic voting is scheduled to last until 9 pm and the results will be announced almost immediately. If none of the candidates top the 40-percent barrier, the top two will take part in a runoff next Monday.
