The Magen David Adom emergency service said on Monday that it has treated more than 367 people over the past two days for heat related problems. On Sunday the number was 167.
In the past two days, about 178 felt weak, 161 fainted and more than 28 dehydrated. This compares to 151 who felt weak, 90 who fainted and 13 who dehydrated during the same two dates last year. MDA reminded people to drink and stay out of the heat, to make sure not to leave children in closed cars and to notify MDA and police if they see an unsupervised child in a closed car.
