Opposition leader Yitzhak Herzog said on Monday that there is anger in the Jewish Agency administration over Sunday's decision to freeze the plan that would have allowed a mixed-gender prayer area at the Western Wall of the Temple in Jerusalem.

Interviewed by Israel Defense Forces Radio, the Zionist Union chairman called it "A feeling of tremendous anger, a sense of fraud. There was a compromise that was agreed upon by everyone until extremist elements decided to frighten everyone and sabotage the process, and this causes division among the Jewish people. Referring to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Herzog said, "He's just zigzagging, folding, afraid."
