Minister of Public Security Gilad Erdan and Prison Service Commissioner Ofra Klinger inaugurated the closed-circuit station Radio Focus in the Ayalon prison on Monday.
The prisoners participating in the project commit themselves to a twelve months' stay at the station and to specific treatment for the offenses for which they are serving a sentence. They are trained in various skills to operate a radio station and broadcast content for other prisoners in order to recruit them for rehabilitation and change processes. Programming will deal with taking personal responsibility, interpersonal communication, ethics, normative code of conduct and related topics.
