The construction of a barrier on various sections of the Lebanese border will begin next month, and the defense establishment estimates that Hezbollah terrorists will try to disrupt the work by opening fire or by sniper fire, according to Channel 2 Television.
The wall is being built, among other things, for fear that Hezbollah will try to carry out offensive moves inside Israeli territory that will include the takeover of Israeli settlements. The first stage of the wall will be built in the western Galilee near the Hanita and Shlomi areas. Another wall will be built in the northern part, between Misgav Am and Metullah.
