Elor Azariya, the soldier who is appealing an 18-month sentence for manslaughter in the death of a wounded terrorist, collapsed on Sunday morning while working at the Nachshonim base where he has been serving an open detention for the past year and a half.
Azariya was taken to the hospital unconscious and underwent a series of tests, including ECG tests. The medical team decided to keep him under surveillance for fear that this was a mental breakdown. Elor's parents, Charlie and Oshra Azariya, were called to the hospital to be with him.
