Chairwoman Anat Hoffman of the Women of the Wall organization has responded harshly to the cabinet's decision to freeze the outline of the Western Wall, which would have created an egalitarian prayer section at the Western Wall Plaza.
Hoffman said, "The fact that the prime minister, who himself initiated and led the plan, collapses and takes back the historic decision, is a badge of poverty for the government, and especially for the female ministers, who were exposed in their full disgrace when their voice was used against the women. Women of the Wall will continue to pray, as is their way, in the women's section at the Western Wall."
