Health Minister Yaakov Litzman and Environment Minister Zeev Elkin have accepted the recommendation of the Science Committee to stop a study which probed the correlation between pollution in the Haifa bay region and the development of asthma and cancer among children and young adults in that region.
The Environment Ministry will publish a new announcement calling for support for performing further similar studies.
