Interior Minister Aryeh Deri decided today that the double property-tax assessment of unused residential apartments, also known in Hebrew as "ghost apartments" will continue.
The decision for approval of the continuation of the temporary order will be passed to the Knesset Finance Committee, according to which the local authority will be able to continue to charge owners of these apartments particularly high municipal taxes, up to a double rate.
