The Tel Aviv Magistrates Court sentenced Adel Amesis to a three-month suspended sentence after he was found guilty of harming the honor of the Israeli flag. Amesis was also ordered to pay a 2000 NIS fine.
The incident occurred in 2014 before Remembrance Day and Independence Day, when Amesis together with another woman sprayed two Israeli flags and two Tel Aviv municipality flags with red paint and water.
