Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings has confirmed that an employee who was fired in April shot five people to death at an Orlando business on Monday. He then killed himself.
Demings said four people — three males and a female — were dead at the scene, and another victim died at the hospital. He said there was no indication that the shooter had any terror ties.
The shooting took place about a week before the anniversary of a shooting at the Pulse gay nightclub in which a lone gunman shot 49 people to death and wounded several others before he was shot to death by police.
