The IDF has initiated "Yeshiva Days" for soldiers over the last few weeks.
During these days thousands of IDF soldiers from various units participated in Torah lectures before Shavuot, the festival celebrating the giving of the Torah.
Lecturers included Sephardi Chief Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef and the Army Chief Chaplain Eyal Karim who spoke about the "halachic dimension of unity in the IDF."
