After numerous years in official rabbinic positions in Israel, Rabbi Yisrael Meir Lau who is presently serving as the rabbi of Tel Aviv-Yafo is expected to retire Wednesday from his position.
Rabbi Lau will retire having reached the age of 80. A special ceremony honoring him will take place at the Western Wall Tunnels.
