A ceremony in honor of the inauguration of a new MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) machine at the Holy Family hospital in Nazareth took place Thursday with the participation of Health Minister Yaakov Litzman, religious leaders, bishops, local leaders,MKs from the Joint Arab list and directors of local health clinics.
The Holy Family Hospital (Italian hospital) was founded in 1884 and now has 120 hospital beds. It is one of three hospitals serving Nazareth's 250,000 inhabitants.
The medical director of the hospital and a representative of the hospital's owners spoke at the ceremony and thanked the Health Minister for acting to approve the MRI machine which will serve thousands in the vicinity and asked to approve a PET CT machine as well.
