U.S. President Donald Trump asked former FBI director James Comey to shut down the federal investigation into former national security adviser, Michael Flynn, The New York Times reported Tuesday.
The newspaper cited a memo Comey wrote shortly after a meeting in February in which Trump allegedly made this request.
“I hope you can let this go,” the president told Comey, according to the memo.
