New French president Emmanuel Macron has chosen Mayor Edouard Philippe of the northern port town of Le Havre as his new prime minister.
The choice of the center-right former member of parliament from the conservative Republicans party is seen as part of Macron's efforts to win a majority in the June parliamentary elections.
