President Rivlin received Thursday an unusual souvenir from representatives of nurses in the health system in honor of International Nurses week: A nurse's gown signed by hundreds of nurses.
Dr. Shoshi Goldberg, the National Chief Nurse, said that "the male and female nurses are saving lives, changing lives and providing hope. They are the beating heart of the health system." Ilana Cohen, director of the Nurses Union, said that the nurses "are at the front and without them there will not be proper health care for Israel's residents."
