The Director-General of the Transportation Ministry, Keren Turner-Eyal, decided Tuesday not to change the original plan of allocating school vans to public transport companies for the Lag Ba'Omer festivities in Meron, despite the Education Ministry decision to postpone the school vacation.
The decision was made partly to prevent danger to the hundreds of thousands of people travelling to the Meron festivities but also because authorities expect a growth of 10 to 20 percent in participants as opposed to last year's festivities.
