In the last decade there has been a rapid decrease in the number of hospital beds in ICU's around Israel, according to data presented at the Knesset Committee for Fair Distribution.
The head of the Committee, MK Miki Zohar, stated that already a decade ago the Knesset Research and Information Center had conducted research on the matter and declared that in 2007 the number of beds stood at 460 per 100,000 residents. Today there are just 285 beds per 100,000 residents.
