The United Torah Judaism party asked Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz on Monday to extend the hours of bus service to and from Meron on Lag Baomer, so that passengers who fail to reach the central Galilee town in the early hours of the day can do so in the evening.
The request follows the Ministry of Education's decision to postpone the Lag B'Omer school vacation from Sunday to Monday, as a result of which hundreds of buses won't be available for the trip to the Meron area from other parts of the country.
