Italy has announced that it will vote in UNESCO against the draft resolution that does not recognize Israeli sovereignty over Jerusalem, according to Yediot Ahronot.

Italian Foreign Minister Angelino Alfano said, "I gave clear instructions to our representative in the organization to vote against the political decision on Jerusalem, which was discussed on an Israeli holiday. Our position is very clear - UNESCO cannot be a place to settle an ideological conflict, in which questions are discussed whose answers are not related to us."
