Eisenkot: Israel's melody will not be stopped

Chief-of-Staff Gadi Eisenkot of the Israel said, Monday night, that Israel "will look forward with pride and march in the light of the legacy left to us by the fallen - a legacy of soldiers' comeraderie and tremendous sacrifice; Of fighting spirit, of courage and of greatness. In Israel's wars, in campaigns and secret operations, the heritage of the state of Israel and the Israel Defense Forces was written by courageous fighters who dared to fight even in impossible situations, who stood alone against many opponents - a legacy of sticking to the goal and uncompromising fighting until the mission was completed."

Concluding his remarks at the opening observance for Remembrance Day for Fallen Soldiers, Pre-State Militia and Terror Victims, Eisenkot said, "True the song of their lives was cut off in hostility, but thanks to them, we can say tomorrow wholeheartedly and with an uplifted head: the music of the people of Israel will not be stopped, the people of Israel live."
