'We hope this time justice will be done'

Retired Lieutenant Colonel Aryeh Kadosh, who fought in the Jenin refugee camp during Operation Defensive Shield and has accompanied the lawsuits surrounding the film "Jenin Jenin", has welcomed the Central District Court in Lod's rejection of the request by lawyers for director Mohammed Bakeri to dismiss a suit by Lieutenant Colonel Nissim Magnani out of hand and ruling that the case be clarified on its merits.

Magnani sought to stop continued screening of the film. It should be noted that legal action against the screening of the film is a private initiative of the soldiers and bereaved families for the past 15 years. The group is demanding that the state, through the attorney general, intervene in the matter in favor of the soldiers. Members of the group hope this time justice will be done and the prosecution against Bakri will be accepted. "We hope that this time there will be a greater understanding of [our] distress and pain and that justice will be done."
