In a joint activity of the Jordan River Customs House near Beit Shean and the Etgar Unit in Lahav 433 of the Israel Police, a smuggling network was discovered that was suspected of sending parts of stolen vehicles to Jordan. An exporter and other partners were arrested.
During a check for the shipment and export of used spare parts, customs examiners began to suspect that the parts were stolen. That began an investigation in which three different shipments containing truck engines, private car engines and other spare parts were seized.
