Shas spiritual leader Rabbi Shalom Cohen warned on Monday evening that the party would quit the government if it did not win the battle against a Supreme Court ruling that approved the opening of supermarkets in Tel Aviv on Shabbat.
"The Supreme Court is causing all the troubles of the desecration of the Sabbath, they rule today," Rabbi Cohen said in Tel Aviv, adding, “We have to fight everything the Supreme Court does, and if we do not win, we will leave the government.”
