The Histadrut Labor Federation and representatives of the workers at the Oil Refineries in Haifa have declared a labor dispute among some 1,700 employees of the Oil Refineries, Carmel Olefins, Nadiv Petrochemical Industries and Haifa Basic Oils.
The unions claim that management is trying to bypass existing collective bargaining agreements. There is also disagreement between the sides on the employees' share of the companies' net profit, which stood at 580 million shekels last year.
