The German newspaper Die Welt reports that German security forces arrested a Moroccan immigrant who planned to carry out an attack against the Russian embassy in Berlin last week.
According to the report, he planned to approach the embassy together with a group of demonstrators who were supposed to hold a demonstration against Russia's support of Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad in front of the embassy, and then carry out the attack. The suspect was arrested by an elite unit of the German police during a raid on a camp for illegal immigrants near the city of Leipzig, hours before he was due to leave for Berlin.
