The employees of the Ballistic Missile Defense and Land Early Warning plant in the Elbit Systems group are threatening to shut down the plant if management does not retract what the workers call unilateral steps to merge the plant with the Elisra branch of Elbit Systems.
Chairman Satrian Finkel of the Tadiran Systems employees' committee says, "We demand that management actually take back [the steps] and cancel all the unilateral steps it has taken to advance the merger. It is impossible to negotiate and at the same time establish facts on the ground. It is an absolute lack of good faith. If our demands are not met, we will begin with organizational steps until the plant is shut down."
