Hundreds of people, including past and present local leaders, prayed on Monday evening at the tomb of biblical Joseph on the outskirts of the Samarian Palestinian Authority city of Shechem.
The evening of worship came after the entry of worshipers was prevented twice last month due to internal wars within the Fatah organization of Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas. Those fights continue but security officials found a window of opporunity to bring the worshipers to the holy site.
