3,607 dwelling units are being marketed in the city of Modiin unter Treasurer Moshe Kahlon's flagship Mechir Lemishtaken (Occupant's Price) reduced-price housing program.
More than a third of the units will be sold to qualified first-time homebuyers who win drawings entitling them to a 30-percent discount. That turns the price of an 85-square-meter apartment with porches, parking and storage from 1.3 million shekels into a little more than NIS 944,000. A fifth of the units are set aside for local buyers.
