Opposition Chairman Yitzhak Herzog has demanded that the attorney general and the state comptroller order Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu stop dealing with communications until restrictions are put in place.
Herzog said, "The prime minister's conduct on the issue of the public broadcasting corporation and the broadcasting authority makes the announcement of his resignation as Minister of Communications meaningless. Netanyahu is in contempt of the Supreme Court and exploits his role as prime minister in order to continue to act and lead very influential moves to transform public broadcasting into Likud broadcasts in Israel."
