The Military Advocate General's Office said, Thursday morning, that its staff had not met with lawyers for soldier Elor Azaria and that they had no intention of meeting with them. However, they did not confirm nor deny the receipt of a letter from the soldier's lawyer regarding negotiations.

The office was responding to a report by Yedioth Ahronoth that the letter contained a request to open negotiations in order to bring about mutual cancellation of the appeals filed in Azariya's manslaughter conviction and 18-month sentence for shooting a wounded terrorist.
