With registration closing in less than two weeks, activists in the Jewish Home party, led by Yossi Fuchs, are pressing Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked to run for the chairmanship of the party against incumbent chairman Naftali Bennett, according to Israel Defense Forces Radio.
The activists commissioned a Rafi Smith survey without Shaked's knowledge, which indicated the party's seats in the Knesset would grow by three with her as leader and that Shaked would be able to attract more Likud voters than Bennett. The survey results were intended to persuade her to join the race.
